So who wrote this load of...?
I did, but I'm nobody really. I'm not a church-goer. I'm not "with" any other company. I'm not selling anything.
I do appear to have found myself with a bunch of mixed skills and interests acquired through authoring
one "Which? Web Trader" compliant, "Thawte" certified commercial site, via a post-grad course in software
engineering, and far too much loud music since the mid-seventies.
My initial contact with www.birkenhead.net, was a simple mistake
on my part. For a moment, I mistakenly took a job advertisement at face value.

Clarification of the term "link".
By either "web link", or "hyperlink" I mean : That little bit of text, or maybe a picture, clicked
on to display another page. Any hyperlink still active between any sites mentioned here
proves no assumption when examined in isolation.
By "business link" I mean : Owned and run by the same individual and/or company. The
business link table uses colours to categorise links between a sample of a large group of
sites found to have common postal addresses, email addresses, and many instances of one
particular phone number. Any business link still active between any sites mentioned here
also proves no assumption when examined in isolation.
Two authoritative definitions of "Franchise".
Investor World defines a "Franchise"
as : "A form of business organization in which a firm which already has a successful product
or service (the franchisor) enters into a continuing contractual relationship with other
businesses (franchisees) operating under the franchisor's trade name and usually with the
franchisor's guidance, in exchange for a fee."
Franchise Direct U.K. & Ireland, quotes The International Franchise Association's
definition
as : "A contractual relationship between the franchisor and the franchisee in which the
franchisor offers or is obliged to maintain a continuing interest in the business
of the franchisee in such areas as know-how and training; wherein the franchisee
operates under a common trade name, format or procedure owned by or controlled by
the franchisor, and in which the franchisee has made or will make a substantial
capital investment in his business from his own resources."
Deceptive MLM definition examples.
Town-Index "Local Operators" do not constitute "franchisees" as defined above. Their definition(1)
and terms(2) do not adhere to any commonly known definitions of "franchisee".
